1st Blackhill Scout Group

1st Blackhill Scout Group has a proud history in the local community, with Scouting in Blackhill dating back to the 1930s. In 2013, the Group joined with 1st Consett Scout Group to create a shared, permanent Scout HQ on Constance Street, which both Groups jointly own and use.

The Group is growing and currently supports over 60 young people. While rooted in Blackhill, members come from across Derwentside, including Shotley Bridge, Consett, Leadgate and surrounding areas.

Young people take part in a wide range of activities, developing new skills, building confidence, and making lasting friendships in a welcoming and supportive environment.
