You now need to choose the Scout Group which is most convenient for you. The link for each scout group will give details of meeting times for each section and how you can contact the group.
After you have contacted the group you will be given details of when it would be best for you to visit. n.b.This will only be sent to a postal address, so please make sure you give a postal address in your correspondence.
On the first visit a parent or guardian will need to go along for the start. They can then stay, if you wish, or just come back at the end.
By joining Scouts you will become a member of a World wide Family of around 28 million fellow scouts. Since scouting began, almost 100 years ago, more than 250 million people around the world have been scouts.
Did you know that of the twelve men who have walked on the Moon, eleven had been scouts? In fact two thirds of all astronauts who have been in space were scouts.
Other famous former Scouts include David Beckham, Ray Mears, Michael Owen, Sir Bobby Robson, Richard Branson, Norman Cook (Fat Boy Slim), Bill Clinton (US President) and Bill Gates (Microsoft)
If you would like to join the adventure of scouting you need to know which section you can join. If you have not already visited the section page then do so now, using the links , to find out more about it, or visit scouts.org.uk, which is the national scout website.
