Cub Scouts are for boys and girls aged between 8 and 10½  years old who want to;
Ÿ
explore the outdoors
Ÿ
go camping
Ÿ
make Friends
Ÿ
play Games
Ÿ
try new things
....and most of all ENJOY THEMSELVES
Cub Scouts usually meet once a week as a "Pack", and are part of a Scout Group.
Cubs will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform.
Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.

Creative
Ÿ
Global
Ÿ
Outdoor and Adventure

How do I join?
Take a look at the groups page to find the nearest Cub Pack to where you live. You can then call in to the Pack meeting with a parent and speak to a leader, or you can email us and we will arrange for the Cub Scout leader to contact you.
Please note, due to the popularity of Scouting, most Cub Packs operate a waiting list, so you  may not be able to start going along straight away. The Cub Scout Leader will be able to advise you of current waiting times.
Most groups will be happy to let a parent / guardian stay for the first night so you can be sure you are settled.

What do they wear?
The uniform consists of:
Ÿ
Official Green long sleeved sweatshirt
Ÿ
Group Scarf (provided by the Group)
Ÿ
Navy Blue activity trousers (optional)

You can also buy a polo shirt as an option for activity wear. Please speak to a leader for advice before you buy uniform. They can also apply for grants to help parents pay for uniforms.
