Beaver Scouts are the youngest section in the Scouting family. They are boys and girls aged between 6 and 8 years old who like having fun and making friends. Beaver Scouts usually meet once a week as a “Colony”, which is run by trained, voluntary leaders and helpers. Many of these are parents of Beaver Scouts.

Beaver Scouts activities are based upon a Balanced Programme which ensures that all young people experience a quality programme covering a wide range of subjects.

All Beaver Scouts will have the opportunity to:
· Have fun
· Make friends
· Try new things
· Keep the Promise
· Make progress
· Gain badges
· Share in groups

Some Colonies attend indoor sleep overs in suitable buildings, which are a great way of developing new skills, enhancing friendships and building confidence.
